I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who reads my blog. Sorry i havn't been posting in a while i was considering deleting the blog but the fact that school is over has given me the time to update and change things so in a couple days i"ll be frequently adding new posts and i hope you enjoy!

Finally Back!!

OMG it's been more than a month since i've posted. I've been crazy busy dealing with school, and then i was sick for like a week with a really bad cold. Even though this is pretty old i was so shocked to hear about the Chris Brown and Rihanna drama. I thought they were a really great couple and no one is perfect obviously but i just never saw that coming. I don't think anything will happen to him legally because as everyone knows celebs get away with things that normal people wouldn't which pisses me off. I think that the drama will have a small impact on his career but i don't think it will be that major. One things for sure no one will ever look at him in the same light again. So in my one month hiatus i've gotten to read some pretty great books because i really love reading so i'm going to list them here so if u want you could check them out; The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison, The Da Vinci code by Dan Brown, and my favorite would by Sammy and Juliana in Hollywood and i'm not sure of the author but it was a great book about a mexican american teenager growing up in barrio which is like the ghetto. The book was really touching because the main character was a really good guy that did well in school and some really sad stuff happens. I plan on posting on a more regular basis now and i can't wait to get summer vacation in June i found out i'm going to London!!!yay

Study claims that black people in Britain are disappearing because of Interracial Relationships.

I love gossip and i love reading websites like Perez Hilton and Mediatakeout. Well today on mediatakeout i read about a study done in the UK that claims that because interracial relationships are on the rise so much that black people in the UK may be indanger of disappearing. According to the study one in ten children born in the UK belong to a family of mixed-race. I thought the article was kind of interesting. If the study is correct that would be a shame. I of course have nothing against interracial relationships because i date interracially, but having a whole race of people disappear would suck. I like that everyone is so diverse and different if everyone was exactly the same then things would be boring, so lets hope that their study is incorrect. I really wasnt planning on posting anything today but i had some time.

Oreos

Ok i want to touch on the subject of "oreos" no not the cookie even though they taste damn good lol, but the subject of some black people acting what is considered to be white and acting what some people consider to be black. According to XTXTER black people are sellouts if they talk white and embrace the "European" culture because it's not natural and your not embracing black culture. I totally disagree he even goes on to say that talking white which i suppose he's refering to speaking proper english wont's get you farther in life, I think he needs a WAKE UP call! That man must be about 22 years old and he hasn't figured out the fact that when you go on a job interview people don't want to hire some one speaking slang they would probably hire the person that's "acting white". I get the you act white comment often but how the hell can you act a color!!? Mmm maybe next i"ll act orange. I get kind of annoyed when people make comments like those because for me at least the way i act is just who i am, and it's been influenced by my family, friends, and they way i think i should carry my self. What is acting black, is it using slang, using the n-word, not doing well in school? WTF is it because if that's what people consider acting black then they need to realize that isn't a positive thing. I DON'T hate myself NOR do i hate my race.

i know that from reading my previous post one person commented and said that the reason i don't date black men is because of self hate and it isn't just a preference. In my opinion that statement is incorrect because i have friends that are black males and even though we might hangout together i'm just not atttracted to them. It's like another black person saying "oh i only date blacks" i don't see a problem with that statement either, if that's who makes you happy and if thats your attraction then that's good for you. I don't hate anyone and i would like to think that i have respect for everyone and all our cultural differences. I also wanted to add that if anyone wass offended by the picture on my previous post i wanted to let you know that i don't see black men in that way i was showing an example of how some people believe black men to be because of the medias portrayel of them.

The N-Word

Steriotypical Black Males.

OMG i feel like my clique of friends and i are the only black people at our school that find the use of the n word offensive regardless of the persons race that says it. I hate how people say that it's a term of endearment, yeah right if it was then you wouldn't get offended when white people say it. I feel like it just shows people of other races how uneducated and ghetto some black people can be and i feel like because of people like that and stupid channels like BET black people get portrayed as uneducated, ghetto, loud, and unable to utilize proper English. One day during my gym class this girl said "Can you pass me the ball my nigga" i totally ignored her because i'm no ones Nigga. I'm sorry if people think that i believe i'm better than them because i speak proper english and the fact that i don't date black guys but all i have to say to them is that who i want to date and the way that i act is none of their business, and i'm just not attracted to black guys and i never will be.
